No Child Hungry

No Child Hungry

About This Campaign

The Boys & Girls Clubs of the LA Harbor serves over 2,600 youth every day. These families benefit from our comprehensive programming in arts, academics and athletics but they NEED us for basics such as transportation from their school to the Club and daily meals. Food insecurities is a huge concern in the communities of San Pedro, Wilmington, Harbor City and Harbor Gateway. More than 80% of the families we serve are at or near the poverty income level. Holidays and purchasing toys for their kids causes stress for many families this time of year, but our families have no idea how they will afford to feed their children while they are out of school for the winter break.

This is why we need your help. The Boys & Girls Clubs of the LA Harbor is the place families come for help when they have no where else to go. We organize food and grocery gift cards for our families in need. This year we plan to be open more days during the holiday break so youth have somewhere safe to be and will be provided meals so they will not go hungry. Please consider a contribution to support this important programming during this holiday season. Your kindness will give parents the greatest gift, peace of mind that their children are safe and are not suffering from hunger.

This campaign is led and supported by Matt Ayer, The Veggie Pilot.
